Shadow came to SCR in 2005 at the age of five, after an injury ended her racing
career. This beautiful mare is by Gold Meridian - her grandsire is Seattle Slew
on the sire's side and Cryptoclearance on the dam's side. This impressive
pedigree gave her talent! She won a $50,000 claiming stake race in Hollywood, California
and ran well in both California and Washington.
Shadow had a lot of mileage on her legs and an injury to her neck before she was
even done growing. After nearly three years off, she is healthy and sound but
she would not stay sound as a riding horse. She is a good companion for many of
our senior horses. For now, the plan is for her to remain here as a pasture pet.
